Question by decret ingredient: Acoustic guitar songs to cover for coffee house gig?
My buddy asked me to perform at his restaurant next week. Ive got my own songs, but he’s just looking for some crowd pleasers. What are a few acoustic songs I should cover?
Its sort of a laid back / romantic kind of atmosphere. Also, I’ve only got a week to learn the songs, so not real hard ones please…
Thanks!

go to your local music store and get some acoustic guitar song books. There are many with titles such as “acoustic classics” etc. These types of books are loaded with some of the greatest acoustic guitar songs of all times and are sure to contain songs that will please any crowd
These are all real simple songs that can be found on http://www.ultimate-guitar.com
look for songs that have chords, not tabs on this site. What I do is copy and paste the lyrics and chords into a words document, then make the font big enough to see on a normal page. I put all of them in a 3 ring binder and put it on a music stand at gigs. No real shame in that especially if you only have a week opr so to learn them.
