Question by serenadeofdivinity: Genital itching (foreskin & vaginal) desperately need some help?
hi everyone, first of all i must tell you i live in a very remote part of the world. I wanted post my problem, i am married for last four years, for me my wife was first partner ever and for her it is the same. Being first for each other we are 100% certain that we bare no known STDS with us. But we have been suffering with this condition over past few years that there is a chronic genital itching problem that appears from time to time. Itching sensation gets so bad that if been itched, it gets worse and even difficult to engage in love for several days maybe week. last year i got the condition really worse, the foreskin started to scratch, then turned red, and then became dry, i use this cream “candacort” and it did not help at all. Then foreskin has become cracked and stiff which i suffered for nearly two weeks until i found this cream “Betnovate Ointment” which really cured that severe condition permanently. now that i am being very careful on scratching. It happens from time to time and we still do not know what causes this. If one of us gets it, other one gets it too after a day or two. Does anyone has any idea what this is? i am thinking of going to doctor along with my wife but we have to travel a real distance to get to a doctor. that’s why i thought i would ask my problem out in the answers so i can get an idea. It’s pretty freaking even to think about herpes but without sexual activity i don’t think herpes spread from clothing or air born.
Please if you have any idea, please state. if you want any further information, please feel free to e mail me, [email protected]
Thank you sir for your kind reply (mark h), yes we do use soap but we switched to mildest possible baby soap for past few months, we live hygienic as possibly we can, uses hot water too. Only thing we have not tried is the use of lubrication which i will be buying one once i go to the city. but can this be contagious, once she gets it, i also get it? could dryness problem also spread like that? we make love at least five days a week, we are very active :”>

it could be anything related to the soap you use, how frequently you have sex or an allergy to latex condoms. It may also be that you may need to use lubricant when having sex as your wifes vagina may be too dry, try lots of foreplay before intercourse. Maybe its your washing powder… the list is endless and it would probably be best for a doctor to see the symptoms as alot of symptoms are common to various problems so to narrow it down and make a diagnosis i would advise you see aa doctor.
also ensure personal hygeine in the affected area is maintained as this could be a cause.
Hope this helped!

What Causes Genital Itching?
Genital itching can be a symptom of many conditions which may include vaginal infections in females or jock itch in males. In either sex, itching may be caused by skin irritation, sexually transmitted diseases, and allergies.
In many cases, genital itching that is caused by irritation will clear up on its own if the irritation is removed. Other causes of itching may require more intensive treatment. If you are concerned about genital itching that does not go away, talk to your doctor or another health care professional.
How Can Genital Itching Be Avoided?
Females should take the following steps to help avoid genital itching:
After urination or bowel movements, wipe from front to back to prevent bacteria from the anus getting into the vagina.
Avoid chemical products such as vaginal douches or feminine hygiene sprays, which can upset the acidic balance of the vagina.
Males should take the following steps to help avoid genital itching:
Wash the penis well, including the area under the foreskin in uncircumcised men.
Keep the area dry, since moisture in the genital area can lead to infections. Cornstarch powders during the summer may be helpful.
Both males and females should take the following steps to help avoid genital itching:
Wear loose, natural-fiber underwear and clothing. Change underwear at least every 24 hours.
Keep the genital area clean and dry. Use mild soap and rinse well.
Use mild, unscented laundry detergents to wash your underwear.
Dry off thoroughly after bathing and swimming. Avoid staying in wet clothing for long periods of time.
Avoid unprotected sex, especially if you are worried that you or your partner might have an infection.
You can use
CANDACORT cream 15% / tube
apply to your genital for 1 week & discontinue it when the 1st week ends.
Then use
CANDAZOLE cream 15% / tube
apply it to your affected genital area for 3 weeks
There for, if it’s nor cured the you have to go to a doctor and your foreskin sample will be taken & checked in a laboratory test.
