Question by SadToday22: What’s a good make style for a nurse while working?
I don’t want to look unkept or ugly but obviously the dramatic dark eye make-up is too much for day-time or for the job. Any suggestions?

Hi hun! You definitely don’t want to be wearing bright colors at your job. You need a more “daytime/natural/everyday look.” aha.
If I were you this is what I would wear:
FACE:
-Wear your normal foundation, if you’re not happy with your current one check out Clinique. I LOVE my foundation now. They pick you out a foundation according to your skin and it’s all very natural looking. If you don’t normally wear a foundation, don’t!
-Concealer. You don’t want to look tired (under eye circles) or unkept (possible blemishes) so a concealer is good! Amazing Cosmetics apparently has a WONDERFUL concealer if you don’t have one yet. If that’s too pricey my absolute favorite drugstore product (better than some department store concealers) is Physicans Formula Conceal Rx. Here’s a link because they have a ton and if you want to try it I don’t want you to get the wrong one. You can check out reviews at Makeupalley, people love it! http://www.physiciansformula.com/ProductDetail/face/concealers/02723.html
-Blush/Bronzer: a little goes a long way! You don’t want to use too much of this. A nice pink blush on the apples of your cheeks and bronzer where the sun naturally hits your face (across your forehead nose and chin) is a good idea. It makes you look more healthy and alive 🙂 BUT remember if you can tell you’re wearing bronzer or blush, you’re not wearing it right!
EYES:
-You need a SIMPLE look. I would take a nude color eyeshadow or a champagne colored one. Don’t use a lot and only on your lid!
-Eyeliner. If you like wearing eyeliner go for it. But just line the outer corners of your eyes. And make sure its soft. A nice brown or black is fine as long as it’s not over the top. 🙂 Some days i only line the outer top lash and it looks great and very natural.
-Mascara! You can still wear mascara just not a ton. Apply one coat of a nice mascara (Maybelline full n soft doesn’t clump or hurt your lashes. i swear by it! )
LIPS: Lipstick is too much and some glosses are too much for the work place and you want to go for a “nude lip”. Honestly, my lips look great with just chapstick. I use a spearmint chapstick everyday and love it. Then you can keep your lips nice and soft (it is january!) and it gives you a little pit of a natural shine! 😀 Check out SoftLips chapsticks, they’re gorgeous!
Hope that helped! 😀
I would go natural.
Use a moisturizer and a foundation that works well with your skintype.
Use a tan or brown eye shadow and mascara then lip gloss.
Stick to soft neutrals on your eyes, a little bit of blush on your cheeks, and some simple lip balm or natural looking gloss on your lips.
